Chepkinoiyo Upperhill Primary School

In December 2010 Prof. Adam K. arap Chepkwony was invited to Kuresoi in Molo District, Kenya. This is one of the areas that were affected the most by 2007 post-election violence in Kenya. The schools in this area are not only scattered from each other but also extremely congested.

Due to the violence and the fear of travelling, the elders were concerned that come January 2011, more than two hundred children would not be attending school. They provided two acres of land and challenged Prof. Adam K. arap Chepkwony to assist them provide leadership and initial finances to construct a primary school.  The Professor took the challenge and in seventeen days a new semi-permanent school was up with at least 200 pupils enrolled.
